Summary of Experience

Professor Fortin is an expert in macroeconomic analysis, specifically in public finance and monetary and banking policies. His research interests include wage and price dynamics, economic fluctuations and growth, adolescent behavior, taxation, fiscal and monetary policies, social policy, and population economics, and he has published more than 100 articles on these topics. In 1995 he was selected by the Quebec Association of Business Economists as "the most influential Quebec economist of the last decade." He is a past president of the Canadian Economics Association.
