Economist

Train and coach research staff to peform advanced programming and statistical analysis using Statistical Analysis Software (SAS). Design and lead studies in field of health/pharmaceutical economics, including cost-effectiveness analysis, quality of life research, large claims database analysis for medication compliance and treatment pattern analysis. 

Duties include: compose proposals, analysis plan, implement research and write reports, abstracts and manuscripts for projects in the field of health/pharmaceutical economics. Implement overall project management to assist teams in reaching objectives during specific processes. Build cost-effective models for NICE and AMCP economic dossier submissions. Provide econometric and statistical expertise in pharmacoeconomics and outcomes research. Lead and conduct advanced analyses to address research questions in the field of pharmacoeconmics and outcomes research, using monte carlo simulation, mixed-effect model, marginal strcutural models, etc. Compose abstracts/manuscripts for studies in the field of health/pharmaceutical economics. Perform presentations at international conferences in the field of health/pharmaceutical economics. Lead and conduct efficient client communication and interaction for projects in the field of health/pharmaceutical economics, including teleconferences, individual and group meetings, and on-site presentations. 

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree in economics or other relevant quantitative field plus at 1 year of experience as an analyst using advanced research and analysis methodologies in the area of pharmaceutical economics and outcomes research.

Required skills include: Advanced SAS programming, cost-effectiveness and decision modeling and advanced statistical skills.
