Analyst
This is an entry-level position for candidates with research experience who have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in economics, finance, statistics, or related subjects. For this position you should have strong quantitative, analytic, and organization skills in addition to a desire to work in a pragmatic, research-oriented environment, with opportunities to interact with academic affiliates and clients. Analysts often move on to top graduate programs for an M.B.A. or Ph.D. after a two- or three-year tenure with Analysis Group; some return to the firm as Associates. Analysts can expect to work on multiple cases at a time. Responsibilities and work experiences may include:
- Conducting market and company research using on-line resources and library searches
- Collecting, constructing, and summarizing data for case-specific needs
- Conducting independent and directed data analysis, including econometric estimation of models and implementation of financial models
- Participating in meetings with academic experts and case team members
- Assisting in preparation of reports for deposition and trial
- Developing computer programs using software such as SAS, STATA, and others
