Ms. Okie specializes in energy economics, strategy, and policy, with a focus on the electric and natural gas industries. She has consulted with companies, government agencies, non-profits, and other organizations on energy markets, economic and environmental regulation and strategy, and energy facility projects. Her recent engagements have included providing analytic and strategic support for a utility's development of a business plan for energy efficiency and demand side management, examining issues surrounding fuel diversity in New York, assisting an oil company in negotiating a long-term liquefied natural gas supply contract, and identifying evaluation criteria for independent market monitors for use in competitive electricity markets. In addition, Ms. Okie has managed a case team in evaluating claims of natural gas futures price manipulation, and has conducted an assessment of whether additional pollution controls were reasonable and feasible for a public utility to implement.
