Study on Greenhouse Gas Initiative Named One of the Top Clean Energy Stories for 2011

Grist magazine included a study conducted by researchers from Analysis Group’s Energy practice in its list of the Top 10 clean energy stories of 2011. The report, “The Economic Impacts of the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative on Ten Northeast and Mid-Atlantic States,” was ranked third on the list. In the study, Managing Principal Susan F. Tierney, Vice President Paul Hibbard, Manager Andrea Okie, and Associate Pavel Darling quantified the economic benefits from the implementation of a multistate regional greenhouse gas initiative (RGGI). They found that the initiative “adds 16,000 jobs and $1.6 billion in value to Northeast economies,” according to the Grist Top 10 list.
