Paul Centolella Joins Analysis Group as Vice President

Paul Centolella, a former commissioner of the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO), has joined Analysis Group in our Boston office. “We are delighted that Paul, with his distinguished career in both the public and private sectors in energy and environmental economics, has joined the firm,” said President and CEO Martha S. Samuelson. During his 30-year career, Mr. Centolella has performed economic assessments of energy markets for power systems operators nationwide and has analyzed policies related to energy innovation, pricing, and security. He has extensive knowledge about the design of energy and environmental markets, as well as the integration of modern information and communications technology into electric power system operations. Most recently, he has been focused on the development and implementation of smart grid interoperability standards, strategies, and technologies.

In his role as commissioner of PUCO, Mr. Centolella provided key testimony supporting the state’s 2008 electricity legislation and was a central player in its implementation. Previously, he was a senior economist with Science Applications International Corporation, and he has also practiced law in Ohio, California, and Washington.
