Richard Lazarus Appointed to Newly Established Justice William J. Brennan Chair at Georgetown Law

Analysis Group Board of Directors member Richard Lazarus has been named the first Justice William J. Brennan, Jr. Professor of Law at the Georgetown University Law Center. One of the nation’s foremost Supreme Court scholars, Professor Lazarus has served on the Georgetown law faculty since 1996. In addition to teaching, Professor Lazarus directs the Law Center’s Supreme Court Institute, and continues to practice before the Supreme Court.
Prior to his academic career, Professor Lazarus served as an attorney with the Environment and Natural Resources Division of the U.S. Department of Justice and as an assistant to the Solicitor General. He joined the Analysis Group Board of Directors in 2008.
