Summary of Experience:
Dr. Rothman is an economist with a broad range of expertise in applied microeconomics, econometrics, health economics, industrial organization, labor economics, and statistics. He has provided economic analyses in antitrust, employment discrimination, intellectual property, and off-label marketing litigation, as well as statistical consulting in non-litigation matters. His experience spans a variety of industries, including chemicals, pharmaceuticals, health services, high technology, and residential mortgages. Dr. Rothman’s casework has included assessments of class certification claims and antitrust liability claims, and the quantification of damages. In re Countrywide Financial Corp. Mortgage Marketing and Sales Practices Litigation, for example, he provided economic analysis and supported experts in addressing issues of class certification. Before joining Analysis Group, Dr. Rothman was an assistant professor in the Department of Health Policy and Management of the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University.
