Summary of Experience:
Dr. Crew has 15 years of experience providing consulting assistance to clients and supporting testifying experts. His primary areas of expertise are finance and securities cases. He has significant experience in federal securities cases and has worked on some of the largest cases filed. Dr. Crew has performed numerous analyses of stock and bond price behavior, including event studies, loss causation, and tests of market efficiency. He has also worked on cases involving complex financial securities and derivatives such as structured notes, options, currency derivatives, and mortgage-backed securities where issues include valuation, risk assessment, and investment suitability. Dr. Crew’s non-litigation experience includes pricing, risk assessment, and real option valuation for clients in the pharmaceutical and electric industries. In addition, he has published research in the areas of regulatory policy and risk management. Dr. Crew has published research on regulatory policies and the hedging of commodity risks and is the co-author of “Federal Securities Acts and Areas of Expert Analysis,” in the Litigation Services Handbook.
