Why did you choose to join Analysis Group?
I’ve held marketing and recruiting positions for law firms since graduating from college, and I chose to join Analysis Group because it offered the opportunity to transition into the consulting industry, a field where I have always had a keen interest. I also admire the company’s collaborative culture and environment where everyone really wants you to succeed professionally. Whether you join the firm on the consulting or administrative side, Analysis Group is a great place to work with people who are smart, collegial, and fun! Joining Analysis Group has been an enjoyable experience – the orientation process is seamless and there are many resources that really help you to get acclimated to the firm.
How do you collaborate on projects with your team?
As a marketing generalist, I work on a wide range of tasks, including drafting qualifications and requests for proposals in response to leads, tracking industry conferences and speaking engagements, and updating content on the firm’s website. I work closely with the West Coast marketing manager, as well as the rest of the marketing team on the East Coast. Since many of the marketing folks are based in Boston, we use several types of communication – email, conference calls, and even Skype – to keep each other in the loop. Everyone is always willing to pitch in and lend a hand on projects, so the working environment is very team oriented.
What is the culture like in your office?
The Los Angeles office has a great working environment. Everyone is genuinely friendly, from analysts to managing principals, and the open-door culture gives the office a welcoming vibe. One thing that drew me to Analysis Group was the firm’s emphasis on collaboration, and the culture here really speaks to that. As part of the marketing team, I am in frequent contact with my marketing colleagues based in other offices, and it’s almost as if we’re all working in the same location. It is also nice that my more experienced colleagues are always willing to spend time answering any questions or providing guidance.
Do you enjoy a suitable work/life balance?
Having a good work/life balance is important to me, and Analysis Group is great in that while we do work hard, the firm is flexible enough that you are able to find the time to do the things you enjoy outside of work. When I’m not working, I like traveling and seeing new places. Some of the countries I’ve visited include Mongolia, Cambodia, Haiti, and the Dominican Republic. I also play basketball with friends at least once a week at a local park.
