Education:
Postdoctoral Research Fellow, The Earth Institute, Columbia University; Sc.D., epidemiology, Harvard School of Public Health; B.A., mathematics and biological sciences, Wellesley College
Summary of Experience:
Dr. Korves has extensive experience in mathematical modeling and policy research, as well as epidemiological, cost-effectiveness, and infectious disease modeling and statistics. Prior to joining Analysis Group, she was an assistant professor of clinical epidemiology at the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University, where she continues to guest lecture for the infectious disease epidemiology course – focusing on modeling the transmission of respiratory infections (particularly influenza) and how such models can be used to develop public health policy. In addition, Dr. Korves has co-directed a course focusing on epidemiologic tools and methodologies for understanding the transmission dynamics and control of infectious diseases, and has delivered the course at the French Institute of Public Health. She also has been a principal investigator and co-investigator for studies to identify optimal models of HIV care in Africa. For these studies, Dr. Korves developed original modeling methodologies, collaborated with public health practitioners to evaluate health service delivery, and led implementation of a data collection tool to obtain programmatic information on care and treatment sites.
