Confidential Ongoing Pharmaceutical Mass Tort Matter

Analysis Group was retained by DLA Piper on behalf of the defendants in this mass tort case in which plaintiffs alleged that a branded drug caused adverse cardiovascular events, including death. The team, which included Managing Principal Pierre Cremieux, Principal Almudena Arcelus, and Vice Presidents Arindam Ghosh and Nikita Piankov, supported counsel and assessed plaintiffs’ claims of increased cardiovascular risks from use of the drug. The team supported a number of experts, including academic affiliate and Harvard School of Public Health Professor Lee-Jen Wei, in conducting a meta-analysis of clinical trial data associated with the drug at issue.
