Analysis of Nursing Home Compensation

The operator of a long-term health care facility was experiencing high employee turnover and asked Analysis Group to evaluate its wage structure. We compared the client’s wages with those of workers for other employers, such as other nursing homes, hospitals, private medical offices, and visiting nurses. Our analysis revealed that nursing wages were comparable among the majority of facilities, but that nurses earned considerably less at the client's facility. After reviewing our analysis, the client adopted a wage plan designed to increase retention of its nurses.
