Analysis Group Vice President Elizabeth Eccher, Ph.D., was recently promoted to Principal. A specialist in accounting, financial analysis, and valuation, Dr. Eccher has served as an expert in commercial disputes involving the proper application of accounting principles. Her consulting experience includes damages estimation for lost sales, cost analyses, business valuations, financial analyses for transfer pricing, and interpretation and application of financial accounting standards and terminology.

“Elizabeth has had a long and distinguished career at Analysis Group, in both our Boston and Chicago offices,” said CEO and President Martha Samuelson. “Since joining the firm in 2001, she has been an invaluable resource for financial and managerial accounting expertise, and an important contributor to a number of high-profile cases across multiple industries.”

Dr. Eccher’s case work has included the calculation of lost profits in breach of contract and unfair competition cases in the high-speed rail, software, and pharmaceuticals industries; an analysis of the organizational and financial aspects of a service supply contract for a U.S. Department of Transportation hearing; and an evaluation of interdivisional transfer prices for an automotive firm.

Before joining Analysis Group, Dr. Eccher taught financial and managerial accounting at MIT’s Sloan School of Management. She earned a Ph.D. in accounting and information systems from Northwestern University; an M.S. in industrial administration from Purdue University; and a B.A. in economics from Dominican University.
