Summary of Experience
Professor Eckbo specializes in the areas of corporate finance, investment banking, and the market for corporate control. He holds the Tuck Centennial Chair in Finance at the Tuck School of Business, Dartmouth College. He also directs Tuck's Lindenauer Center for Corporate Governance, which he founded in 1999. He teaches advanced M.B.A. courses in the areas of corporate finance, corporate takeovers, and international corporate governance. Previously, he was a professor of finance at the University of British Columbia and held the Gosta Olson Chair in Financial Economics at the Stockholm School of Economics. He has also held visiting professorships at the University of California, Los Angeles, and MIT. He is an adjunct of the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration, where he teaches a doctoral course in corporate finance. Professor Eckbo is a research associate of the European Corporate Governance Institute and a former research fellow of the Center for Research in Public Policy. He is a frequent keynote and invited seminar speaker and has testified before the US Congress on issues concerning the government’s large equity ownership positions in companies rescued under the Troubled Asset Relief Program.
