Mr. Sheehy is an expert in options theory and risk management, with more than two decades of experience analyzing and managing various floor, independent, and in-house trades. He filed an expert report in a Securities and Exchange Commission matter involving optionsXpress, a brokerage owned by Charles Schwab, and allegations of a short-selling scheme. Mr. Sheehy has extensive market-making experience on several options exchanges, including the Chicago Board Options Exchange and the Pacific Exchange. Previously, he served as a senior trader at PEAK6 Investments, where he managed several of the firm’s largest trade books and co-managed the firm’s global risk exposure. Prior to his PEAK6 position, he was an on-floor market maker at Refco and O’Connor and Associates. Mr. Sheehy has trained recruits and assistants in options theory, and has given presentations on options theory and risk management in various industry and university settings.
