Mr. Sheehy is an expert in options theory and risk management and holds more than two decades of experience analyzing and managing all manner of floor, independent, and in-house trades. He filed an expert report in an SEC matter involving optionsXpress, a brokerage owned by Charles Schwab, and allegations of a short selling scheme. Mr. Sheehy has extensive market-making experience on several options exchanges, including the Chicago Board of Options Exchange and the Pacific Options Exchange. Most recently, he served as a senior trader at Chicago-based PEAK6 Investments, where he managed several of the firm’s largest trade books and co-managed the firm’s global risk exposure. Previously, he was an on-floor market maker for Refco Inc., and O’Connor and Associates LLP. He has trained recruits and assistants in options theory, and he has been invited to present in various industry and university settings.
