Dr. Comment specializes in business administration and financial economics. He has testified on materiality, damages, and industry practices in a variety of complex commercial disputes and securities litigations involving stock price evidence, securities and broker-dealer regulation, and valuation issues. Dr. Comment served as deputy chief economist at the Securities and Exchange Commission, where he advised the chairman, commissioners, and senior staff of the SEC on a broad range of economic issues arising in enforcement actions and rulemakings. Before his government service, Dr. Comment taught M.B.A. courses in corporate finance, capital markets, investments, and mergers and acquisitions at both New York University and the University of Rochester.
