Summary of Experience
Professor Ryan teaches courses on financial reporting for financial instruments and financial analysis of financial institutions. He is the author of Financial Instruments and Institutions: Accounting and Disclosure Rules, Second Edition (Wiley, 2007) and is an editor or editorial board member for several academic journals, including the Journal of Accounting Research. Professor Ryan served on the Financial Accounting Standards Advisory Council from 2000-2003 and has served on the Federal Reserve Bank of New York's Financial Advisory Roundtable since 2012. Professor Ryan has testified in numerous cases involving financial reporting for financial instruments by financial institutions and trading firms.
