Summary of Experience
Dr. Alter specializes in the application of microeconomics, econometrics, and statistical methods to complex litigation matters in the areas of antitrust, finance, and general business litigation. His litigation case work has included analysis of the performance of mortgage loans underlying mortgage-backed securities, analysis of the valuation of securities under different market conditions, and analysis and critique of a statistical sampling methodology for the evaluation of mortgages and securities. He has supported academic affiliates in various phases of the litigation process, from pretrial discovery and case strategy to expert reports and deposition preparation. Prior to joining Analysis Group, Dr. Alter was an assistant professor of economics at the Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis.
