Dr. von Wartburg specializes in the application of econometric methods and microeconomic theory to complex problems in antitrust and competition, commercial litigation, media and telecommunications, finance, and intellectual property. He has supported academic affiliates in their preparation of reports and testimony in engagements as diverse as the competitive assessment of horizontal and vertical mergers, the quantification of the economic impact of price-fixing conspiracies, the assessment of class certification claims in technology and financial services industries, the estimation of damages from breach of contract, and the analysis of clinical trial data in patent infringement cases. Dr. von Wartburg also has served as an economic expert witness on investment and competition in the telecommunications industry. Prior to joining Analysis Group, Dr. von Wartburg lectured on strategy and game theory at the University of British Columbia.
