Dr. Barrett focuses on developing and executing strategies to sustain competitive advantage and achieve growth for health care and life sciences organizations. His experience spans pharmaceuticals, vaccines, medical devices, and diagnostics across a broad variety of therapeutic areas. He has considerable experience developing growth strategies across the product life cycle at portfolio, franchise, and product levels, with a particular focus on pipeline value assessment and optimization, evidence strategy and development, and pricing and market access. Representative projects include commercial assessments for early-stage assets or business development opportunities; pricing and market access strategy; and supporting the development and implementation of clinical and economic evidence strategies, including cost-effectiveness and budget impact models for early-stage and peri-launch assets. Dr. Barrett has also supported clients outside health care, particularly in private equity, high tech, and media. Prior to joining Analysis Group, Dr. Barrett was an engagement manager at McKinsey & Company. He has also served as a diplomat, representing the New Zealand government's interests in United Nations, World Trade Organization, and Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) negotiations on issues in international trade, investment, and the environment.
