Cleaning Appliance Manufacturer False Superiority Claims

Analysis Group assisted the defendant in a recent case involving two of the world's largest manufacturers of cleaning appliances. The plaintiff had alleged that our client made false superiority claims regarding the capabilities of its newly introduced line of cleaners, which had become the market leader in sales within two years of its introduction into the United States.

Analysis Group was retained by Manatt Phelps to support New York University marketing professor Joel Steckel, who analyzed the impact of the defendant's advertising and promotional claims on the sales of its new products. In his analysis, Professor Steckel calculated the extent to which our client's sales were attributable to the claims at issue, versus other factors unrelated to the lawsuit. Affiliate Laura Stamm provided damages calculations.
