Global Competition Review: The Antitrust Review of the Americas 2018
Each year, Global Competition Review (GCR) publishes regional overviews of recent developments in the world's competition regimes. For the 2018 edition of The Antitrust Review of the Americas, Analysis Group Principal Managing Principals Samuel Weglein and Dov Rothman discuss two successfully contested health care industry mergers: Anthem/Cigna and Penn State Hershey Medical Center/PinnacleHealth System. For each case, they summarize the efficiency arguments offered by the merging parties, the government's response to those arguments, and the court's decision.
