Summary of Experience:

Professor Cummins’ recent consulting engagements have involved productivity and efficiency analysis of insurance firms; operational risk in insurance and banking; arbitrage-free pricing of insurance contracts; and financing of catastrophic risk. He is the author, co-author, or editor of 135 academic articles, books, book chapters, and monographs, and has been recognized by the Journal of Risk and Insurance as the world’s premier researcher in the field of risk, insurance, and financial institutions.

A past President of the American Risk and Insurance Association, Professor Cummins holds senior editorial and advisory positions with the Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of Risk and Insurance, Journal of Financial Services Research, Geneva Risk and Insurance Review, Journal of Actuarial Practice, Journal of Risk Finance, Geneva Papers on Risk and Insurance: Issues and Practices, and the Financial Economics Network Corporate Finance Journals
