Ms. O’Laughlin specializes in the application of microeconomics and statistical analysis to the areas of antitrust litigation, competition policy, commercial litigation, and quantitative marketing. She has assisted clients in all phases of the litigation process and has helped expert witnesses prepare reports and other testimony in matters involving breach of contract, finance, intellectual property, and allegations of exclusionary conduct. Ms. O’Laughlin has conducted economic analyses pertaining to the financial services, high technology, payment card, and pharmaceutical industries. In Discover Financial Services v. Visa U.S.A. Inc. and American Express Travel Related Services Company, Inc. v. Visa U.S.A. Inc. she supported an academic expert in his assessment of quantitative marketing issues related to plaintiffs’ allegations of anticompetitive acts.
