Summary of Experience:
Professor Boyer has served as an economist and testifying expert on behalf of large companies and governmental organizations, in Canada and elsewhere, concerning such matters as copyright, competition policy, wage negotiations, strategic investment choices, contract litigation, development policies, and municipal institutional reform. He has authored over 250 articles, public reports and scientific papers, and currently conducts research in the areas of flexibility and real options in investment evaluation; organizations, technology and strategic competition; incentives, information and uncertainty; competition and regulation; and law and economics. He has served in many professional organizations, including as president of the Canadian Economics Association and the Société canadienne de science économique; member of the Board of Directors of the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER, USA); member of the National Statistics Council of Canada; member of the Board of the Quebec Public-Private Partnership Agency. He is an elected member of the Royal Society of Canada (The Canadian Academy of the sciences and humanities).
