Affiliate Barry Goodwin Elected President of the Agricultural & Applied Economics Association

North Carolina State University professor and Analysis Group affiliate Barry Goodwin was recently elected president of the Agricultural & Applied Economics Association (AAEA). Professor Goodwin is the William Neal Reynolds Distinguished Professor of Agricultural and Resource Economics and an expert in applied econometrics, international trade, and agricultural markets. The AAEA, formerly known as the American Agricultural Economics Association, was founded in 1910 and has approximately 2,400 members. It serves the professional interests of members working in agricultural and broadly related fields of applied economics. Professor Goodwin in 2006 was named a fellow of the AAEA in recognition of his outstanding continuous contributions to the advancement of agricultural or applied economics.
