Analysis Group Consultants Contribute to New Book on Econometrics
March 25, 2014
Several Analysis Group consultants contributed to the book Econometrics: Legal, Practical, and Technical Issues (Second Edition), which was recently published by the Antitrust Law Section of the American Bar Association. The book serves as a guide and resource to help antitrust attorneys understand econometric analysis and work more effectively with economic experts on developing econometric empirical studies, preparing arguments or briefs incorporating facts derived from econometric analyses, or cross-examining economic experts.
Managing Principal Bruce Deal and Vice President Samuel Weglein provided content for the chapter "Presentation of Econometric Analyses," which covers the presentation of econometric evidence in an expert report and at trial. In addition, Managing Principals Pierre Cremieux and Adam Decter, along with Vice President Dov Rothman, contributed to the chapter "Applying Econometrics to Address Class Certification," which outlines the legal and economic framework for class certification cases, explores the use of econometric analyses in these disputes, and offers case studies.
