Analysis Group Consultants Present at ABA Antitrust Section Spring Meeting in Washington, DC

President and CEO Martha Samuelson and Managing Principal Rebecca Kirk Fair will participate as session panelists at the upcoming American Bar Association Antitrust Section Spring Meeting, which takes place April 15-17, 2015, in Washington, D.C.  

Ms. Samuelson will present during the panel session "Your Loss, My Gain? Proving Damages Across Jurisdictions" (April 15, 3:30 p.m. ET), which will examine how issues such as causation, treatment of direct versus indirect purchasers, umbrella damages, admissibility of evidence, use of economic analysis, and expertise of the court can affect damages outcomes. The session will be chaired by Melissa Maxman of Cozen O'Connor and moderated by Alexander Rinne of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP. Joining Ms. Samuelson on the panel will be Catherine Beagan Flood of Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP; Stephen Kon of King & Wood Mallesons; and Steven Williams of Cotchett, Pitre & McCarthy LLP.

Ms. Kirk Fair will participate in the panel session "Is False Advertising Anticompetitive?" (April 17, 8:15 a.m. ET), which will examine whether and when false advertising can be the basis of a Sherman Act claim, and how brand power plays into this consideration. The session will be chaired and moderated by Svetlana Gans of the Federal Trade Commission's Division of Marketing Practices. Joining Ms. Kirk Fair on the panel will be Robert Atkins of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP; Maurice Stucke of the University of Tennessee College of Law; and Spencer Weber Waller of the Loyola University Chicago School of Law.
