Analysis Group Health Care Consultants Present at 2016 ISPOR Conference

Members of Analysis Group's Health Care practice will present one workshop, moderate one issue panel, and exhibit 18 posters at the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR) 21st Annual International Meeting in Washington, D.C., on May 21–25, 2016.
Managing Principal Mei Sheng Duh will lead the presentation in the workshop “The Health Economics and Outcomes Research Applications and Valuation of Digital Health Technologies and Machine Learning,” which will discuss the analytics and values of cutting-edge machine-learning and digital health technologies. Dr. Duh's presentation will focus on the statistical properties of machine learning algorithms and highlight the advantages of machine learning techniques over traditional regression models when applied to HEOR research (May 25, Workshop Session V).
Vice President Noam Kirson will moderate the panel “Are Alternative Financing Approaches Needed for Innovative Therapies?” Dr. Kirson, alongside the workshop's panelists, will discuss the reimbursement challenges for transformative therapies in the face of patient switching across payer types over time, and will summarize recent research on the distribution of costs and benefits among payers for several distinct disease archetypes (May 25, Issue Panel Session IV).
Over the course of the conference, Analysis Group's Health Care consultants will present 18 posters focused on cost-of-illness, comparative effectiveness, and health care resource utilization studies targeting ischemic stroke, prostate cancer, metastatic breast cancer, uterine fibroids, schizophrenia, diabetes, obesity, among others.
