Analysis Group Health Care Practice Researchers Win Two Best Poster Awards

Several members of Analysis Group's Health Care practice were recognized with 2014 Best Poster Awards for two posters presented at the 72nd annual meeting of the American Academy of Dermatology in Denver, Colorado, March 21--25, 2014.
In the first poster, "Number Needed to Treat and Cost per Responder for Biologic Therapies for the Treatment of Moderate to Severe Psoriasis," the research team, which included Analysis Group Vice President James Signorovitch, Manager Keith Betts, and Senior Analyst Sherry Yan, in conjunction with researchers from Dalhousie University and AbbVie Inc., explored the clinical and economic evidence for biologic treatments for moderate to severe psoriasis.
In the second poster, "Cardiovascular Event Risk Assessment in Psoriasis Patients Treated with Tumor Necrosis Factor-Alfa Inhibitors versus Methotrexate," the research team, which included Analysis Group Vice President Annie Guérin and Economist Katherine Dea, in conjunction with researchers from Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center and AbbVie Inc., compared the risk of major cardiovascular events in psoriasis patients receiving MTX or TNFi, and assessed the impact of duration of treatment with TNFi on long-term risk of major cardiovascular events.
