Analysis Group Health Care Researchers Present on Economic Burden of Infectious Disease

September 12, 2014

Infectious disease research conducted by a team from Analysis Group -- along with academic affiliate and Tufts University School of Medicine Professor David Snydman, and researchers from Astellas Scientific and Medical Affairs -- was featured as a podium presentation at the Interscience Conference on Antimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy (ICAAC) 2014 conference, held September 5--9 in Washington, D.C. The presentation, "Cost Burden of Cytomegalovirus (CMV) Disease among Solid Organ Transplant Recipients," coauthored by an Analysis Group team including Managing Principal Eric Wu and Manager Hongbo Yang, evaluated the economic burden of incremental health care costs associated with CMV disease among solid organ transplant recipients. The study found that solid organ transplant recipients with CMV incurred significantly higher health care costs than those without CMV.
