Analysis Group ranked seventh in the "large company" category of the Boston Globe's 2014 "Top Places to Work" in Massachusetts survey. The survey results are based on input from more than 73,000 employees from 366 Massachusetts organizations. Analysis Group has consistently appeared in the Boston Globe's rankings for the past seven years and was ranked first overall in the large company category in 2012 and 2013.
The annual "Top Places to Work" survey honors employers in four size groups: small, medium, large, and largest. The survey recognizes the most admired companies in Massachusetts, based on employees' opinions about the leadership, appreciation, career opportunities, compensation, and management practices in their organizations. Private companies, nonprofits, and publicly held businesses are included in the analysis. This year's results are based on a survey, conducted by employee survey firm WorkplaceDynamics, that measured responses to statements regarding factors related to employee satisfaction, including company direction, execution, employee connection, workload and responsibility, management, and pay and benefits.
President and CEO Martha Samuelson's comments on leadership and gender were featured in the Boston.com article "Few Women in Top Roles at Top Places to Work" (November 21, 2014), which discussed issues for women in senior roles in the 2014 Best Places to Work survey. "I have been fortunate in my profession not to have experienced leadership through the lens of gender," Ms. Samuelson said. "The opportunities I have had as I've progressed through my career have been largely in merit-based environments." Analysis Group was recently ranked 15th in a listing of the top 100 women-led businesses in Massachusetts by the Commonwealth Institute and Boston Globe Magazine, and has been named a best place to work by Vault.com for several years running.
The firm's placement in the "Top Places to Work" in Massachusetts survey was also featured in the Boston Globe article "Top Places to Work for Young People in Boston" (December 17, 2014), which highlighted where members of the millennial generation are employed.
