Health Outcomes Research Teams Receive Poster Presentation Awards at ISPOR

Several members of Analysis Group's Health Care practice were recognized for their participation at the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR) 20th Annual International Meeting in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, May 16-20, 2015. In total, three posters supported by Analysis Group researchers received finalist ribbons.
A consultant team including Associate Paul Karner, Vice President Francis Vekeman, and Managing Principal Mei Sheng Duh received a finalist ribbon for their research poster "Kidney Involvement in Tuberous Sclerosis Complex: The Impact on Health Care Resource Use and Costs in the Netherlands." The poster drew from research conducted by researchers from Analysis Group, Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation, and the University Medical Center Utrecht.
Another Analysis Group team consisting of Manager Rajeev Ayyagari, Analyst Cassie Tang, Senior Analyst Lizzie Faust, and Managing Principal Edward Tuttle received a finalist ribbon for their presented poster "Association of Obesity with 30-Day Readmission Rates among Patients Hospitalized with Acute Bacterial Skin and Skin-Structure Infections (ABSSSI)." The research was conducted in conjunction with Melinta Therapeutics.
Also winning a finalist ribbon was the poster "Description of Prophylactic Drug Utilization Patterns in Migraine Patients." The research was conducted by an Analysis Group team of Manager Amie Shei, Senior Analyst C.J. Enloe, Vice President Noam Kirson, and Principal Howard Birnbaum, with researchers from Amgen Inc.
At the conference, members of Analysis Group's Health Care practice presented one educational symposium and one workshop, and exhibited 24 posters focused on cost-of-illness, comparative effectiveness, and health care resource utilization studies targeting metastatic breast cancer, prostate cancer, diabetes, psoriatic arthritis, chronic hepatitis C, depression, and Down syndrome, among others.
