Managing Principal John Jarosz Discusses Trends in IP Litigation in Inside Counsel Article

The economic consulting landscape has changed over the past 30 years, particularly in intellectual property litigation, according to Managing Principal John Jarosz in a recent Inside Counsel article. In "Analysis Group's John Jarosz Discusses Economic Testimony in IP Litigation" (August 11, 2014), Mr. Jarosz discusses the economic consulting landscape, describes the role of economic experts in IP cases, and advises in-house counsel to be involved in hiring such experts.

According to Mr. Jarosz, it can be beneficial for economic experts to work closely with both in-house personnel and their outside lawyers in prospective litigation. He explains that "[b]ecause we participate in a bigger and more competitive industry than ever before, pressures to be both efficient and effective are constant. Though some in our business focus on one of those somewhat at the expense of the other, those dual pressures bring out the best in most of us."
