Analysis Group takes an exacting approach to studies of compensation equity.
We evaluate whether statistically significant disparities exist in pay levels for employees with comparable positions and qualifications, and we carefully model the effects of individuals’ functional and hierarchical positions. Our work has included development of appropriate SSEGs (similarly situated employee groups); identification of strategic outliers; and diagnosis of underlying patterns of observed disparities.
We make recommendations for corrective action only after careful modeling of all relevant influences on pay at specific employers, including education and experience. We identify specific individuals who may be underpaid so that employers can take corrective action, and have also helped clients act proactively to ensure they are meeting diversity objectives.
