Summary of Experience:
Dr. Simon specializes in applied microeconomics and econometrics. He has performed analyses in areas such as securities, price fixing, statistical sampling, business valuation, intellectual property and general damages. Dr. Simon's past projects have involved valuation of complex currency derivatives, analysis of volatility in the mutual fund industry, and extensive investigation of pharmaceutical markets related to a price-fixing claim. His statistical sampling work has ranged from analysis of small samples drawn from large datasets, which are used for planning purposes, to the design of complex cluster sampling plans for the investigation of a nationwide medical practice. His empirical research has explored the determinants of consumer lending and the price effect of mergers. He has provided deposition testimony as an expert in a number of cases, and is currently the designated expert in an ongoing sampling matter relating to health care claims. Prior to joining Analysis Group, Dr. Simon was a lecturer at Princeton University.
