Summary of Experience:
Professor Tufano's research focuses on financial innovations such as the design of new securities and financial instruments; the organization of financial markets; corporate risk management; and the mutual fund industry around the world. A prolific author, Professor Tufano has written numerous books and articles. His work has been published in such leading journals as the Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics, Review of Financial Studies, Journal of Banking and Finance, Financial Management, and Harvard Business Review. In addition, Professor Tufano is an associate editor for several publications, including the Journal of Finance, Financial Management, and Journal of Financial Services Research, and a co-editor of the online journal, FEN-Educator. Professor Tufano is the recipient of several awards and honors, including the 1996 Smith Breeden award for best paper published in the Journal of Finance.
