Summary of Experience:
Dr. Johnson is a health economist with 10 years of experience in the econometric analyses of large databases, experimental design, program evaluation, discrete-choice analysis, cost-effectiveness analysis, outcomes measurement, and policy analysis for companies in the life sciences technology. While at Analysis Group, Dr. Johnson has worked on a range of projects, including analyses of intellectual property regulations, clinical trials, economic models, and pricing strategies. He has also has provided litigation support in several cases involving the pharmaceutical and specialty chemical industries.
Dr. Johnson has used a range of medical records data in his research, including health care claims databases (IHCIS, Market Scan, 5% sample, and Medicaid); clinical trials (Phases II and III); pricing databases (IMS MIDAS); disease registry/cohort sources such as SEER; survey data from Synovate, Harris, and others; and Medicare demonstration project data.
Before joining Analysis Group, Dr. Johnson founded a consultancy that provided modeling, pricing analyses, and decision support for firms in the pharmaceuticals industry. His research has been published widely in a variety of journals. He has developed more than 30 cost-effectiveness and pricing models for more than 15 different disease states.
