Summary of Experience:

Professor Albrecht, a certified public accountant (CPA), certified internal auditor (CIA), and certified fraud examiner (CFE), has done extensive research on business fraud. He served on the task force of the American Institute of CPAs that wrote SAS 82, a fraud auditing standard. In 1997 and from 2001-2004, he was chosen as one of the 100 most influential accounting professionals in the United States by Accounting Today magazine. In 1998, he received the Cressey Award from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, the highest award given for a lifetime of achievement in fraud detection and deterrence. Professor Albrecht has consulted with numerous organizations, including Fortune 500 companies, major financial institutions, the United Nations, FBI, and others and has been an expert witness in some of the largest U.S. fraud cases. He currently serves on the audit committees and boards of directors of several public companies and is the U.S. representative to the International Federation of Accountants Education Committee. Professor Albrecht is the author or co-author of over 20 books or monographs.
