Dr. Marks has more than 30 years of experience in technology innovation, with particular expertise in artificial intelligence, human-computer interaction, and computer graphics. His work on innovation in applied computing spans multiple industries, including defense, electronics, media and entertainment, marketing, and health care. Dr. Marks has consulted on and prepared expert reports for technology patent cases, which have focused on, for example, software-based architecture and interactive software systems. His responsibilities at Carnegie Mellon University involve leveraging the university’s capabilities in applied computing for innovation in digital health care. Earlier in his career, Dr. Marks managed a large number of research projects at Mitsubishi Electric Corporation and The Walt Disney Company. He is the co-founder of two mobile technology startups. Dr. Marks has published numerous papers on applied computing topics in peer-reviewed publications.
