Dr. Terasawa is a health economist whose expertise includes policy evaluation and the application of statistics and econometrics to health economics and outcomes research. Her work has included retrospective claims analyses, medical chart reviews, patient surveys, clinical trial analysis, and systematic literature reviews for indirect comparisons. Her projects have encompassed a wide range of disease areas, including oncology, immunology, neurology, hepatitis C (HCV), pulmonology, and dermatology. Prior to joining Analysis Group, Dr. Terasawa was a lecturer at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. She also served as a research analyst at CareScience/Premier, Inc. There, her work included evaluating the use and adoption of electronic medical records for the Institute of Medicine, and multiple quantitative assessments of programs in the health care sector – such as the CMS Hospital Quality Incentive Demonstration, the Institute for Healthcare Improvement's 100K Lives Campaign, and various quality initiatives by hospital systems. Dr. Terasawa has presented her work at conferences on health economics and statistics and has coauthored numerous manuscripts published in peer-reviewed journals.
