Mr. Vasdeboncoeur is a consulting economist who specializes in securities and finance, as well as in assessing injury in antitrust and competition matters. His finance experience includes interest rate derivatives markets, the foreign exchange (FX) market, and shareholder litigation. In his work on USA v. Richard Usher, et al. and In re: Foreign Exchange Benchmark Rates Antitrust Litigation, Mr. Vasdeboncoeur analyzed FX trade and chat data, prepared an academic expert for testimony at trial, and provided data analyses and consulting support to counsel throughout the proceedings. He has also worked on securities litigation matters related to accounting and other misstatements, including valuing and assessing claims in the context of settlement discussions. Mr. Vasdeboncoeur has supported experts testifying in 10b-5 litigation, including in assessments of reliance and market efficiency at the class certification stage. He has also analyzed alleged collusion in the private equity industry, including the assessment of leveraged buyout models.
