Dr. Veliche is a results-driven mathematician with a focus on data mining and developing and implementing predictive models. He applies his data science expertise - including machine learning, natural language processing (NPL), large and complex data management, visualization, and interactive tools - to problem-solve in a number of industries, including insurance, health care, and media and entertainment. He also works on antitrust matters involving overcharge, large dataset management, and fuzzy matching algorithms. Dr. Veliche has advised senior leadership on opportunities for improving a multimillion-dollar operation for the collection, sourcing, and retention of data. Regarding predictive models, he led the investigation, development, and implementation of predictive models that supported claims processing decisions in a multibillion-dollar personal insurance business. Supporting multiple initiatives, he has also co-designed, implemented, and automated a life sciences data infrastructure that resulted in a tenfold increase in speed and capacity. Dr. Veliche's experience in the health care sector includes researching and implementing patient-centric data algorithms, including drug mapping using NLP and care opportunity evolution over time depending on drug regimen.
