Mr. d'Udekem specializes in complex asset valuation; analysis of liability, causality, and damages in financial and economic litigation; assessment of mergers and acquisitions; and transfer pricing and related tax matters. Prior to joining Analysis Group, he was the managing partner of Finitude, a Belgium-based consultancy. There he advised insurance, banking, and investment groups on shareholder securities litigation – as well as on quantitative and strategic issues. Mr. d'Udekem also previously held senior positions at companies including Ageas (formerly known as Fortis), where he worked in the mergers and acquisitions group, as well as helped to oversee Fortis's post-break up legacy issues; and at Engie, as an in-house consultant. He has filed expert reports in courts in Belgium, France, and the Netherlands. Additionally, he has presented on topics such as valuation, risk management in the banking and insurance industries, dividend policies, and the market influence of sell-side analyst recommendations. A doctoral candidate in applied economics and management at the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management (Université Libre de Bruxelles, Belgium), Mr. d'Udekem is completing his thesis on the implications for the banking system of challenges in appreciating the risk of certain assets. Since 2010, he has also been a guest lecturer in finance at the University of Geneva.
