Recent cases involving high-tech employees and animation workers reflect a growing interest in the application of antitrust laws to the employment area. At the same time, newly issued guidance from the Department of Justice and Federal Trade Commission focuses on such practices as “naked” no-poaching agreements or wage-fixing agreements.
Managing Principal Aaron Yeater will moderate a panel discussion that will explore why the media and technology industries have become focal points of antitrust concerns over hiring and compensation. Analysis Group academic affiliate Moshe Buchinsky, Professor of Economics at UCLA, will serve as a panelist, along with Russ Cohen from Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe; Dean Harvey from Lieff Cabraser Heimann & Bernstein; and Bethany Kristovich from Munger, Tolles & Olson.
