Analysis Group Alumnus Appointed Head of Prominent Israeli Bank

Analysis Group congratulates alumnus Samer Haj-Yehia on his appointment as chairman of the board of Bank Leumi. The Jerusalem Post noted that Dr. Haj-Yehia “has made history as the first Arab-Israeli to be appointed chairman of Bank Leumi, Israel’s oldest banking corporation.”

After his tenure at Analysis Group (2004–2006), Dr. Haj-Yehia held positions that included vice president of financial engineering at Fidelity Investments and trading strategist at GMO Investments. He joined Bank Leumi’s board of directors in 2014, and also serves on several other boards, including those of Hadassah Medical Center, Strauss Group, BIG Shopping Centers, and the Council for Higher Education in Israel. Dr. Haj-Yehia holds a Ph.D. in economics from MIT and a B.A. (accounting), M.A. (economics), LL.B. (law), and M.B.A. (business, magna cum laude) from Hebrew University. He is a CFA Charterholder.
