The University of Chicago Selects Analysis Group's Sue Tierney for Visiting Fellows Program

The Energy Policy Institute at The University of Chicago (EPIC) has selected Analysis Group Senior Advisor Susan Tierney, former Assistant Secretary for Policy at the US Department of Energy (DOE), as one of its first two Visiting Fellows in Policy Practice. Ms. Tierney will provide her perspectives and expertise on ways to translate energy research into effective public policy.
Ms. Tierney is a highly-regarded expert on energy policy and economics, specializing in the electric and gas industries. She formerly served as Assistant Secretary for Policy at the DOE under President Clinton, as state cabinet officer for environmental affairs in Massachusetts, and as Massachusetts Public Utilities Commissioner. Currently, as a Senior Advisor at Analysis Group, Ms. Tierney consults with companies, governments, nonprofits, universities, foundations, and other organizations on issues including industry structure, market analyses, utility ratemaking and regulatory policy, clean-energy regulatory policy, wholesale and retail market design, energy infrastructure, and strategy. She chairs the External Advisory Board of the National Renewable Energy Laboratory and the DOE's Electricity Advisory Committee, and also serves on the board of directors of many organizations, including the World Resources Institute, Resources for the Future, the Energy Foundation, and ClimateWorks Foundation.
