Environmental Defense Fund – EPA Emission Standards Review

An Analysis Group team worked with the Environmental Defense Fund to conduct a literature review and data availability analysis that could be leveraged by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to evaluate the readiness of the electric power grid to support vehicle electrification. The EPA passed updated emission standards for light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles. As part of the update, the EPA committed to periodically evaluate progress in building power system infrastructure to support an increasing number of electric vehicles. Our team provided consulting support to catalog available sources of information and data for the EPA to conduct these assessments and develop a framework by which it could carry out evaluations.
