Government & Corporate Investigations
Analysis Group has assisted in investigations and enforcement matters undertaken by the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Department of Justice (DOJ), Federal Trade Commission (FTC), Federal Communications Commission (FCC), and other federal and state government agencies. Our roles have included evaluating economic data, market definition, and other competitive issues; assisting in developing appropriate settlement models; and estimating exposure under various assumptions.
Our experience in these matters includes major antitrust investigations in the United States and European Union, enforcement actions involving allegations of financial fraud or market manipulation, damages assessments related to claims of bribery and foreign kickbacks in the global pharmaceutical industry, and analyses of intercompany transactions allegedly undertaken for the sole purpose of minimizing taxes. We often collaborate with leading academics and specialized industry experts to help evaluate liability and damages issues.
